George T. Moore

A native of New Jersey, George Moore graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1973 and was commissioned in the Supply Corps of United States Naval Reserve.
After his separation from the service, Moore’s career has included employment as an amusement park art director, live show assistant director, lighting director, sound director, and stunt advisor. He also worked in Los Angeles as a talent agent and archivist, finally moving into the advertising business as a writer/producer specializing in radio.
In 2006, George reconnected with fellow Notre Dame graduate Mike Whalen and began an association with him that continues to the present. Moore has acted in various capacities on any number of Mike’s projects including the Legends of Aerospace Tour in 2010, and continuing through the Carrier Classic broadcasts.
Moore is the winner of numerous advertising awards including Clios for sound design, music adaptation, and music arrangement. He was a founding member of the Radio Mercury Awards and member of its Creative Fund Board. He has also run several trusts, including a charitable trust for which he oversaw the donation of roughly a million dollars to various worthy causes over a 15 year period.
